Quick Start Guide
1Open TXZ Core Wallet
Launch the TXZ Core application on your computer. Wait for it to fully sync (this may take a while the first time).
2Generate New Address
Method A - Using the Console (Recommended):
- Click Help → Debug Console
- Type this command and press Enter:
getnewaddress "my-wallet" "bech32"
You'll see your new address (starts with txz1):
txz1q5pwjq0nd37z7tumqawq4ejaqaweeypsjmhfgcu
Method B - Using the GUI:
- Click the Receive tab
- Click Create new receiving address
- Enter a label (like "my-wallet")
- Click Create
3Get Your Private Key (WIF)
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Your private key controls your coins. Never share it with anyone!
In the Debug Console, type:
dumpprivkey "txz1q5pwjq0nd37z7tumqawq4ejaqaweeypsjmhfgcu"
(Replace with YOUR address from step 2)
You'll get your private key (starts with T):

4Save Your Private Key Safely
CRITICAL - Write down your private key:
- ✅ Write it on paper and store in a safe place
- ✅ Use a password manager (like 1Password, Bitwarden)
- ✅ Store in multiple secure locations
- ❌ Don't save it in plain text files on your computer
- ❌ Don't share it with anyone
- ❌ Don't take screenshots (can be hacked)
⚠️ WARNING: Anyone with your private key can steal ALL your TXZ! Treat it like cash. If you lose it, your coins are gone forever. There is NO recovery process.
